1. Why choosing the right box matters

A box is the primary protection for your belongings. It helps to:

• prevent damage during transport

• keep items clean and dry

• make loading, stacking and carrying easier

If a box is too large or too weak, items inside may get damaged, crushed or move around during the trip.

 

2. Which boxes work best

Small boxes (up to 40×30×30 cm)

Ideal for documents, books, kitchenware and small household appliances.
👉 Avoid overloading — the box may not withstand excessive weight.

Medium boxes (up to 60×40×40 cm)

Universal size: clothing, shoes, toys, everyday household items.

Large boxes (up to 80×60×60 cm)

Suitable for light but bulky items: blankets, pillows, throws, winter coats.
👉 Do not pack heavy items — such boxes become difficult to lift safely.

Reinforced boxes

Recommended for electronics and fragile items.

 

3. How to pack items properly

• Reinforce the bottom of the box with 2–3 layers of tape.

• Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap or paper.

• Do not leave empty spaces inside — fill them with soft material.

• Seal the top tightly.

• For fragile loads, mark the box clearly as “FRAGILE”.

• Valuable items should be packed in strong or double-reinforced boxes.

 

4. Recommended box sizes

For transport from Ukraine to the UK, the following sizes are the most convenient:

• Small: 40×30×30 cm (up to 10 kg)

• Medium: 60×40×40 cm (up to 20 kg)

• Large: 80×60×60 cm (up to 30 kg)

These sizes are easy to carry and can be arranged properly inside a vehicle.

 

5. Additional tips

• Always label fragile items.

• Pack valuable and delicate belongings as securely as possible.

• Bags (travel bags, sports bags, suitcases) can also be used for transport.
